Soft tissue surgery
Our soft tissue surgery service is run by Heidi Whieldon, BVSc BSAVA CertSAS MRCVS.
We have operating theatres and advanced anaesthetic and surgical equipment, and are able to hospitalise patients after surgery.
As well as routine surgeries, we can take referrals for:
- Ear, nose and throat surgery, including aspergillosis investigation and treatment, BOAS surgery, salivary mucoceles, total ear canal ablations and ventral bullae osteotomies (for cats).
- Oncological investigations and surgery: Our imaging service, including CT, allows thorough staging prior to surgery if required. We also offer chemotherapy (in suitable cases), and can perform mandibulectomy if needed.
- Abdominal and perineal surgery, including nephrectomy, gastrointestinal surgery, liver lobectomy, perineal hernia repairs, subtotal colectomy and anal gland surgery.
- Endocrine surgery, including thyroidectomy and adrenalectomy.
- Wound management and skin reconstruction, including migrating foreign bodies and sinus investigation.
- Laparoscopic: ovariectomy, retained testicle (cryptorchid), laparoscopic assisted biopsies, laparoscopic assisted gastropexy.
